Ladies and Gentlemen, it’s Showtime! This line is too common of Jimmy Lennon, Jr., the regular Showtime Boxing Ring Announcer. But this time around, let us hear what he will have to say for his opening spiel during the boxing match aptly dubbed as “Firepower”.
Indeed, it will be a power fight berween Miguel Cotto and Manny Pacquiao. As one ring writer puts it, “it’s hard to envisage this fight being anything other than a toe-to-toe war of attrition.”
In an interview with Dave Tyler, Lennon said that if Manny Pacquiao beats Miguel Cotto, especially in a spectacular manner, he has got to go down as one of the all time greatest boxers. Because he is taking on a huge task. In my mind he can’t miss because just moving up in weight and taking on a great champion is amazing. In truth I’m having a tough time with this fight, I think of upsets in the last two years in boxing and it makes me question my ability to understand the sport. This is one and I think Cotto has such a size advantage but I don’t put anything past Pacquiao so I’m having a tough time picking a winner.
With this very conflicting observation from the man on the ring himself, we have all the reasons not to miss this fight. Metrosports Badminton Club, Cebu City’s sports and health club located in Salinas Drive in Lahug introduces a Team
Building Corporate Package that is creatively tailored to bring out fun in the learning process.

The package is designed with a variety of practical activities that test the physical and mental agility of each participant to promote health and fitness at the same time. Each game or activity included in the package is also geared towards achieving camaraderie and harmonious relationship among co-workers, thereby bringing out the concept of teamwork in every endeavor that corporate employees undertake in their daily office routines.

The Corporate Package ranges from Php 20,000 to Php 70,000 dependent on the number of participants and the length of time the structured activities are accomplished. Street Children Run for Fun

The said run is being initiated for four consecutive Sundays at 5:30 am from Metrosports Center in Lahug this city and will end up at the confines of Club Ultima along Osmeña Boulevard. Part of the Fun Run’s proceeds will be donated to the Task Force which is being chaired by the city’s First Lady, Margot Osmeña.
Aside from a hearty buffet breakfast at the Café Glo that awaits all Fun Run participants, the street children will also be treated to a film showing experience at the tower’s 4D Theater which now features three 4D movies namely, Deep Sea Adventure, Dino Rampage and The Lost Island.
Individual or corporate group participants are required to fill up a registration form. With it come a waiver, a claim stub as entry ticket to the venue where the corporate Buffet Breakfast will be served and a Fun Run T-shirt to be issued on the day of the Fun Run. Registration fee is pegged at P350 per pax. Corporate participants may also avail of the Ten Plus One offer that Metrosports Center extends to its clientele.
Four barangay captains have fully extended their support to this cause. Capt. Mary Ann de los Santos of Brgy Lahug, Capt. Lorenzo Basamot of Brgy Camputhaw, Capt. Erwin Guanzon of Brgy. Capitol Site and Capt. Jerome Lim of Brgy Santa Cruz are providing their mobile tanods to man as on-the-route marshals. The presence of ERUF Foundation’s First Aid mobile facility for the duration of the Fun Run is also a welcome development courtesy of Dr. Pek Eng Lim.
